50% of our world’s reefs are already dead. Due to direct human impacts as well as warming ocean conditions, scientists project that over 90% will be dead by 2050. This is an ecological catastrophe at the front lines of climate change. Coral reefs sustain 25% of all marine life, most of which will perish as the corals die. It is also a serious socio-economic issue as reefs support the livelihoods of up to one billion people around the world through, fisheries, coastal protection, and tourism. Through our innovative coral farming model, we can bring these reefs back to life and sustain them for the communities that rely upon these cornerstone ecosystems.
